The needs of our veterans and youth are what has inspired this project. We want to honor and care for those who have served us so faithfully by defending the freedoms we hold in high esteem. We also want to foster patriotic values and help prepare our youth to be tomorrow's leaders at home and abroad.
How Sun Up Ridge Plaque Funds are Used
Fifty percent of memorial plaque purchases from Sun Up Ridge will be put in escrow to create a fund for helping War Veterans and Youth. Twenty percent of each plaque purchase is used for administration of the Sun Up Ridge online database and website, thirty percent covers the cost of the plaque and its placement in the memorial, and the final 10 percent is used to maintain the Platte River Parkway.
The escrow account of Sun Up Ridge receipts is administered by Casper's Veterans' Council. This account is used to fund veterans' and youth projects, determined on a case by case basis by Sun Up Ridge's Board of Directors. Funds will be awarded annually on Memorial Day. Recipients will be reported in the local newspaper, on this website, and various avenues.

Recipients of Veteran funds will be decided by fulfillment of the following criteria:

Recipients of Youth Funds will also be considered on a case by case basis, and will usually consist of a matching shares agreement where the youth organization must raise half of the needed funds with Sun Up Ridge supplying the second half. Criteria under consideration will include:
